First Bank Management System contract under the new London Procurement Project Framework has been awarded to SMART by NHS Barnet
NHS Barnet selects SMART for hosted Bank management systems
SMART, a leading supplier of Workforce Management solutions to the NHS and commercial organisations, has today announced that it has been selected by NHS Barnet to supply its Bank management system. The contract which is for a hosted system and was awarded under the London Procurement Project (LPP) Framework Agreement, is for SMART’s Bank Administration solution which will be linked to the Trust’s ESR system for employee data and payroll. The system is to cover 800 employees working in community hospitals and visiting people in their homes. This is the first Bank Management system contract to be awarded under the new LPP Framework.
The LLP Framework Agreement provides an agreed shortlist of providers suitable for NHS Trusts. All suppliers listed have undergone a rigorous assessment process by the LPP.
Tristan Spencer, Health Market Director at SMART commented; “By selecting SMART Bank Administration NHS Barnet is harnessing technology to solve a significant problem, that of ensuring that the right person is in the right place at the right time and at the right price.”
Mr Spencer continued; “NHS Barnet has chosen to implement the SMART system as a hosted software service. This will minimise workload and effort for the Trust during implementation, and will ensure that they are up and running with a live system quickly, with a high availability for staff. By ensuring that the available staff with the most appropriate skill levels are used to fill shift vacancies the trust expects to improve healthcare provision across Barnet, while reducing the amount of budget spent on expensive agency staff. ”
