MARCH 9, 2010, NEC, Birmingham: EGS today launched its new Procurement Business Process Outsourcing service at Procurex National, the UK’s leading event dedicated to public sector procurement.

EGS is also delighted to announce that NHS Brent, a primary care trust, has selected the service, which will start with immediate effect.

· The contract will see EGS providing operational procurement to NHS Brent and its Community Service, acting as the first point of contact for budget holders for all procurement enquiries.

· EGS will have an on-site presence and be responsible for the management and maintenance for the Oracle SBS e-proc solution.

· EGS will take care of day-to-day sourcing of goods and services from suppliers, plus catalogue and content management.

· EGS will also provide market-leading consultancy in the areas of procurement strategy, OJEU tendering, collaboration and commissioning.
