Linking continents – Vonage launches its unique service to India
- Thursday, 26 November 2009
Vonage, the world leader in VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) caller technology, has launched a unique package that will enable customers to make unlimited calls to India from the UK.
The revolutionary new package – the first of its kind in the UK – uses the very latest in communications technology to provide customers with a package of services including:
• Unlimited calls to Indian landline and mobile numbers, the US, Canada, Singapore and Hong Kong,
• Unlimited Vonage-to-Vonage calls,
• Cheap international rates for calls to landlines and mobiles outside the V-Plan 4i package area
• Unlimited calls to landlines in over 35 countries
The V-Plan 4i package has been specifically designed to make the most of the latest, cutting edge technology employed by Vonage and to connect friends, families and business associates across the world. The package, which costs only £18.99 a month in the UK, comes with a range of extras at no additional cost including caller display, three-way calling, ring back, international call barring and much more.
A new way of doing business
The package has been designed for every Vonage customer, but has particular relevance for international businesses looking to save money on their calls. “We’re delighted that the interest has been so great in VoIP technology, and predict it will become a major business tool for the 21st Century,” explains Vonage UK’s Managing Director Vincent Potier. “The opportunities for trade between India and the rest of the world are opening up new partnerships that transcend international borders and develop a truly global marketplace, and VoIP is helping to facilitate that,” he adds.
The start of a telecommunications revolution
The V-plan 4i scheme is designed to bring this revolutionary technology to a much wider audience, and Vonage believes that the Indian market is eager to be at the leading edge of that movement. “We’ve had an explosion of interest from people who are currently spending more than they would like on international phone calls from normal carriers”, says Vincent Potier. “By encouraging more people to take up the scheme, both businesses and private domestic customers, we believe that VoIP will become a major part of the way people communicate across the world in the future,” he concludes.
