Anderson Zaks secures PCI DSS certification

12th August 2009, Bracknell, UK: Anderson Zaks, a Level 1 Service Provider, today announced that it has successfully been awarded compliance status with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard version 1.2 (PCI DSS). The certification was achieved after an extensive independent audit of Anderson Zaks’ operations and processes conducted by QCC Information Security Ltd, a Qualified Security Assessor Company (QSAC), fully registered with the PCI Security Standards Council.

The PCI DSS certification is a global information security standard to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures thereby safeguarding sensitive data. The security standard was developed by the founding payment brands of the PCI Security Standards Council, including Visa, Amex and MasterCard and includes 12 requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures.

Compliance with PCI DSS is compulsory for those companies processing payment card transactions, and failure to comply results in severe financial penalties as well as significant business consequences in the case of a security breach.
