A spoonful of virtual sugar from Yourfamily.org.uk’s Digital Nanny!

Personalised NSPCC advice available via parenting application on the Your Family website

Raising young children can leave parents feeling isolated, stressed and without anyone to turn to, but help is at hand. The parenting website from the NSPCC, Yourfamily.org.uk, has created a ‘Digital Nanny’ to steer parents through the tough times.

Hosted on the Your Familywebsite, the ‘Digital Nanny’ supports parents through challenging moments by offering professional advice and support. Covering a range of topics from discipline, communication and tantrums to nutrition and sleep, the ‘Digital Nanny’ helps take the pressure out of parenting.

By simply entering their child’s gender and age, parents have instant access to bespoke information from NSPCC experts. Each category offers personalised responses and, more importantly, lets parents know that they are not the only ones facing these challenges.

NSPCC parenting advisor Eileen Hayes explains: “We appreciate that raising children can be difficult. Many parents worry about their children’s development and what is normal at different ages. It can be reassuring to know that other parents are in the same boat.

“The aim of the ‘Digital Nanny’ is to let parents know that they are not alone. Offering impartial and informed advice on a range of topics, the ‘Digital Nanny’ is there to guide and support parents where ever possible.”

The Your Family site is aimed at parents with children from nought to nine years old and covers all aspects of family life, from advice on managing the family budget to cyberbullying and the ‘Digital Nanny provides an additional asset for parents using the site.
