New Zealand IT makes big splash at CEBIT 2007
Hannover, Germany, March 15th 2007 – New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), the New Zealand government's national economic development agency, is showcasing the country’s vibrant IT sector at CeBIT 2007. Sixteen New Zealand companies and high tech innovations in areas as diverse and exciting as data security, telecommunications, human-machine interaction and intelligent clothing will be represented in the NZTE Pavilion, Hall 3, Stand B55.
New Zealand officials are supporting the companies presence at CeBIT with the Hon David Cunliffe, Minister of ICT and Immigration, Alan Cook, New Zealand Ambassador to Germany and Jenn Scoular, New Zealand Consul General and Trade Commissioner to Germany all planning to attend the show.
Demonstrations at the Pavilion, many of which will take place on one of the three impressive 46” touch screens supplied by NextWindow, will feature HITLab, Massive, Immigration New Zealand, Phitek and many more. Zephyr technology will also be demonstrating their new bio harness.
CEBIT 2007 is the third year that NZTE has used the show to spotlight the latest innovations coming out of its fast growing IT and communications sector. ICT contributes NZ$1.25 billion to the New Zealand economy in export sales annually and employs over 41,000 people.
