Avoco Secure and IdenTrust have created services offerings utilizing Avoco Secure’s secure2sign and secure2trust products and IdenTrust bank-issued digital certificates. The solutions are based on Avoco Secure’s capability of secure signing and access of Microsoft Office Word documents. In key scenarios, these features help to ensure compliance with government regulations and international banking standards. Our clients will now be able to provide e-commerce solutions, such as e-invoicing, e-purchase orders, mortgage applications, based on Microsoft Office, making it a natural extension of their business tools.

secure2trust for Outlook allows organizations to control who can access an email and what they can do with that email after access has been granted. The enhancement of Avoco Secure’s product secure2trust to include support for Microsoft Office Outlook, including 2007, is an important step forward. Emails are encrypted in transit and access control mechanisms ensure that only authorized users can view emails. The recipient will receive the email into his/her Outlook client.. If he/she has the correct authentication, he/she will be able to decrypt and access the email. Once access has been gained, further controls ensure the email content can only be used within the constraints the sender has set. secure2trust is the only product available in the market that can apply multiple authentication access and content controls to the email message. Authentication options include: active directory member (allows emails to be retained within an organization), anyone, password, secure team member and digital certificates. Uniquely, secure2trust for Outlook supports IdenTrust bank-issued digital certificates, EiD schemes and the US Government HSPD12 PIV cards for accessing and controlling the content of the email messages.

The innovative solutions that IdenTrust and Avoco are creating are to be extended in the future by offering other file format support as well as authentication and content control through Avoco’s product support for SharePoint Server 2007, Microsoft Office Groove 2007,Groove and other Microsoft products.

These solutions support both two-factor authentication and OCSP validation calls. secure2trust meets the certified T scheme for the US/UK Federal Bridge use of digital certificates.
