SATA systems optimised for digital storage applications

London, UK – 18 October 2006 -- Nexsan Technologies, the leader in innovative and secure storage solutions, today announced a 45 percent capacity increase in its line of SATA storage systems with the implementation of Seagate Technology’s new DB35 Series 750GB hard drives to its cost-correct, highly scalable and high-availability SATABeast, SATABoy and SATABlade products.

The increased capacity of Seagate’s drives enable total capacity of the SATABeast to grow from 21TB to 30.5TB in just 4U of rack space. SATABoy increases its capacity to 10.5TB in 3U with the SATABlade now featuring 6TB in a 1U form factor. Each of Nexsan’s SATA solutions are designed to enhance digital storage applications, such as live on-line data, HDTV, digital film and video, nearline storage, security, audio, disk-based backup (D2D) and disaster recovery. Nexsan solutions have been successfully implemented at digital production and post-production facilities around the world.
