Sapient today announced that it has been awarded a six-and-a-half year contract to manage and operate Vertex Financial Services’ offshore software development capability. The main points to note are:

- Under the six-and-a-half-year agreement, Sapient will provide application support and development services to complement Vertex’s sector knowledge and expertise

- The deal extends Sapient’s three-year relationship with Vertex; most recently, Sapient successfully delivered a complex billing solution that increases service and support to more than 3.5 million Vertex consumers

- As part of the deal, Sapient will open a new office near Vertex Financial Services in Cheltenham, UK, which will work closely with teams in Delhi, India to provide ongoing applications management and development services to Vertex

Sapient wins contract to manage offshore development for Vertex’s financial services business

LONDON — 7th December 2005 — Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), a business innovator, announced today that Vertex Financial Services, a leading UK provider of outsourced business services, has awarded Sapient a six-and-a-half-year contract to manage and operate its offshore software development capability.
