Britain’s Lost Generation Of RoboKids
Kids With Common Sense Becoming Uncommon
Research by a British camping company suggests Britain is in danger of creating a generation of RoboKids – kids who lack common sense and learn many of their behaviour patterns and values from TV and on-line, virtual worlds.
OLPRO - www.olproshop.com - has found that parents zealously protect their kids from dangers they perceive in the real world, yet they are less concerned about leaving them unsupervised to roam wherever they please on the internet.
95% of parents* questioned by OLPRO played outside for several hours a day when they were children**. However, less than 5% of them allow their own 6 -10-year-olds to play outdoors*** without being accompanied by an adult.
