Chak 89, the award winning restaurant in south London was amazed when legend Mr Anupam Kher walked in late at night to pick up a takeaway.
Mr Kher, who is on set at nearby Wimbledon had been tweeting Frank Khalid the owner of Chak 89 a few days prior to him coming to Chak 89, saying that he was looking for some decent food after being disappointed with the food from an Indian restaurant in Wimbledon. Frank acknowledged Mr Kher’s tweet by saying, “If its quality and traditional food you’re after then please pop in.”
A couple of days later the unexpected happened when Mr Kher arrived at Chak
89 around 11pm kindly asking Shim Khalid, Frank Khalid’s younger brother if it was possible he can do a takeaway because he had just finished his shoot and wanted traditional Indian food.
