Service Desk Solution from Sunrise Software
Chessington, 17 October 2012 - UK-headquartered service management company Sunrise Software has today announced that Speedy Services, the UK’s leading equipment rental and support services company, has selected its Sostenuto Service Desk software to provide a support platform for its People Services division. Based at the company’s Shared Services Centre in Merseyside, Sostenuto will be used by the HR and payroll administration team, to manage workloads and staff requests. The Shared Services Centre was set up after the organisation amalgamated its separate operating companies.
Craig Isherwood, SSC Improvements Manager said: “We wanted a system to manage the high level of incoming calls and emails we receive every month. It needed to be suitable for use in an HR/admin environment, quick and easy for our people to use and something that we could easily customise ourselves. We looked at the system our IT Service Desk was using but found it too cumbersome to meet our requirements. Sostenuto will not only help us to manage our workload and provide a better service to our staff, it also enables us to analyse calls to see where problems are occurring and then take remedial action to solve them.”
The 16 strong HR admin team within People Services use Sostenuto to log the 4000 telephone calls and 4000 emails the team receives each month. They are also able to log the type of call, so at the end of the month can identify any areas with recurring issues. For example, the payroll team were able to spot a problem with a tax element on payslips which has now been resolved, reducing the number calls to the team, and providing a better service to employees.
Craig Isherwood continued; “As the Sostenuto system beds in, and we start to see real benefits from the reporting and analysis that the system provides, we are looking to roll out the system to other areas that could benefit, like the facilities management department.”
