The Purple Agency, part of Adare, has landed a winning entry for its work with leading travel company, Flight Centre at this year’s Database Marketing Awards in London. The Basingstoke-based agency took the top slot in the Innovation in Email Marketing B2C category for its Consultant Portfolio, a data driven platform which enables Flight Centre consultants to create their own highly targeted email campaigns. Campaigns driven from Consultant Portfolio resulted in a 24 per cent increase in booking values and a 28 per cent increase in booking rates. The agency also won award finalist nominations in two other categories – Outstanding Marketing Services Provider and Innovation in Database Marketing Software.
Commenting on the win, Andrew Woodger, data and planning director at The Purple Agency says, “Blending our skills in data, digital and creativity to deliver top quality work for our clients is what the business is all about. Having said that, if you can produce quality and have that work recognised by your peers as the best in the business, that’s got to be the icing on the cake.”
Siobhan McGarvey, Flight Centre’s Head of Marketing, says “Purple has helped us to develop a local Customer Relationship Management system which supports our brand, and also improves our operational efficiency as well as delivering targeted campaigns. All of that hard work has now been recognised at these awards, and we couldn’t be more delighted.”
The Database Marketing Award comes on top of several other award wins in recent months. Other successes for The Purple Agency include being rated as one of the UK’s Top 10 creative agencies by RAR (Recommended Agencies Roster) and going on to pick up their award for ‘Best Corporate Communications Agency’ at the RAR’s. Purple were also nominated as a finalist for Website of the Year at the Wirehive Awards for its work with Aintree Racecource.
