Advanced launches Collaborative Planning Version 7
10 September 2012 – Advanced Business Solutions (Advanced) announces that it is continuing to invest heavily in its budgeting and forecasting software in response to increased demand from both the public sector and UK business. Advanced’s latest budgeting and forecasting release, Collaborative Planning Version 7 (CP v.7), is launched today and further product releases are in the pipeline.
Advanced saw a 35 per cent increase in users of its Collaborative Planning budgeting, planning and forecasting solution between June 2010 and May 2012. This includes a 44 per cent increase in private sector customers, a 32 per cent in local government organisations and a 23 per cent in health sector customers. Advanced also saw a significant increase in customers from central government, the emergency services, the housing sector and higher education.
Dean Dickinson, Managing Director of Advanced Business Solutions (Public Sector & Enterprise Division) says, “We are seeing more and more UK organisations looking for budgeting and forecasting solutions to improve error-prone and manually-intensive forecast and budget preparation processes. Against a backdrop of cost cutting and tightened purse strings, it is not surprising that organisations are increasing their investment into solutions that can provide an accurate and real-time view of current and forecasted spend.”
CP v.7, which is launched to market today, is Advanced’s latest budgeting and forecasting software release. This solution has been enhanced in response to customer feedback to enable salary calculations and forecasts across multiple years, saving users’ time and effort. Salary information can also be extracted from the system more easily and the new multi-dimensional analysis functionality provides a flexible, 360 degree of the data in an easy-to-understand graphical format. In addition, the new self-service password reset enables budget holders to quickly and securely re-set passwords themselves, freeing-up system administrators’ time.
Dickinson says, “Our latest Collaborative Planning product release demonstrates ongoing investment into our budgeting and forecasting product suite. These product enhancements will allow customers to plan and make financial projections more accurately and in a timelier fashion, delivering even greater control over costs.”
Dickinson adds, “As we continue to seek user feedback, we will look at making further enhancements to our budgeting and forecasting software, ensuring that our products continue to fulfil customer demand.”
