• Antiac: An all-natural, peroxide and paraben-free product offers a highly effective alternative to chemical products

• 97% of problem skin sufferers found Salcura products effective

[LONDON 2nd June 2011] Antiac, a new, all-natural, peroxide and paraben-free product for treating acne, has been rated best acne product in an independent volunteer-led trial on Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies: Live from the Clinic programme. Programme producers chose Antiac to compare with four other non-prescription acne products to be trialled for one week by five acne sufferers. Salcura Antiac “stopped shine and got deep down into the pores to banish blemishes.”
The results of the trial were broadcast in Embarrassing Bodies: Live from the Clinic on Channel 4 on June 1st which can be viewed online via Channel 4’s 4oD at

Antiac – What Is It?
Containing only natural ingredients, Antiac is an effective-yet-gentle alternative to chemical based alternatives containing hydrogen peroxide, benzoyl peroxide, antibiotics, retinoids and/or salicylic acid. Antiac treats acne in three ways: Cleansing, disinfecting and reducing inflammation, thus treating both cause and effect of the condition. Ingredients such as Sea Buckthorn and Aloe treat inflammation and promote skin healing. Tea-tree, Sandalwood, Manuka and Nerolina oils combat the bacteria which cause the acne, and all have proven anti-fungal and anti-septic actions.

Antiac’s all natural formula is ideal for acne sufferers who have sensitive skin, and is also suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The Antiac product is a liquid which comes in a pump-action spray. A spray has several advantages over an ointment or cream: The product lasts longer because less of it is used each time, and is distributed as very fine particles, allowing faster and deeper penetration into the skin - boosting absorption into the skin’s deeper layers.

Acne: A Common but Treatable Condition
Acne is the most common type of skin condition, with around 80% of 11 to 30-year-olds affected2. Most acne cases in girls occur between the ages of 14 to 17, and in boys the condition is most common in 16 to 19 year-olds. People’s symptoms normally go away in their twenties, but in some cases acne continues into adult life, with approximately 5% of women and 1% of men over 25 continuing to experience symptoms2.

The Salcura Story
Salcura was originally developed in the 1990’s by German bio-scientist, Dr Martin Schiele, to treat the skin problems of factory workers handling chemicals. Dr Schiele’s unique combination of natural ingredients proved highly effective in soothing difficult-to-treat skin complaints. Over a decade of research and reformulation later, his blends of ingredients were launched under the ‘Salcura’ brand. Salcura now offers a wide range of products for skin condition such as acne, eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis, offering relief for those wanting an effective, natural alternative to chemical based products.
